Colleen Ballew, CPT, CN

Colleen has been a student of Pilates for over 13 years. She holds her PT certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, her Pilates certification through Retrofit Pilates and 2 Nutrition Certifications through Venice Nutrition and NESTA. She is currently working towards her PMA certification. However, her passion is in the kitchen where she loves to create new recipes that are flavorful, healthy, quick, and easy. All the ingredients her clients request.

Chris has been in the fitness world for over 3 years, switching from his 9-5 for what is truly his passion. He is ISSA Certified and has participated in 3 Spartan Races & a Tough Mudder race. He experienced in Mixed Martial Arts and has his own personal training business in Westlake and TO teaching High Intensity Group classes.

Chris teaches TRX here at our studio and has become very popular among our clientele! Every class challenges them to do more and he is always changing it up to make sure they get the best workout possible.

Nicole first discovered yoga while attending NYU's Tisch School of the Arts as an Acting Major. Overwhelmed by the almost instantaneous sense of peace it brought to her life she wanted to learn more about yoga. She has 200 hour certification through YogaWorks in Costa Mesa then went on to complete her 300 hour through YogaWorks in New York City. Nicole specializes in Restorative & Therapeutic yoga.

I foster an open, encouraging, down-to-earth environment where students can come to know themselves, their bodies, and their breath on a deeper level. jillianDJillian Dijak

Jillian studied classical & modern dance for many years earlier in her career and after the birth of her children, it was clear that the Pilates method of body conditioning was the way to get back in shape since the principles taught in Pilates were similar in dance. She received her Pilates certification at Body Arts & Science Intl. Jillian’s deep appreciation for and understanding of anatomy, her creativity and genuine desire to improve the health of individuals empowers her with the ability to teach Pilates with great joy and inspiration.

She has years of experience working in the rehabilitation arena incorporating the Pilates method into the therapeutic programs for many of her patients, ranging in age from 7 to 92. She believes that one should always strive to evolve for the better and live life with a positive and upbeat attitude.

Lisa teaches ZUMBA! here at our studio bringing a positive and vibrant energy to her classes, she WILL work you into a sweat. Her background is in singing, dancing and choreography. Lisa began Singing, Dancing, and Acting at the age of ten. She has appeared in numerous T.V. shows, commercials, and print Ads. She is an active supporter of the troops and has performed on 22 military bases including Guantanamo Bay and Bahrain.

mindymcdanielMindy McDaniel

A 30-year veteran of the fitness industry, Mindy has been teaching Pilates for over 20 years, and is known for her expert ability to help clients understand their own mind/body connection. Clients often have many ‘aha’ moments when discovering the ability to consciously choose the appropriate muscle for each specific movement. Her passion for this work is fueled by these moments. Her own practice of the alignment principles has allowed her to stay injury-free throughout her years of athletic exploration and commitment. She enjoys running, swimming and yoga and is also certified in Gyrotonic, Massage Therapy, Watsu, Water Dance, and has a degree in Physical Education from CSU Long Beach.

Georgie has been teaching Pilates since 2006 and practicing the method since the 90's. He is passionate about Pilates and it shows in his classes. Leaving for a brief hiatus in 2012, he has returned to our Studio and we welcome him back. Georgie received his training through Barbara Wintroub of Retrofit Pilates.

He enjoys working out and incorporates his practice into his regular routine intermingling with weight lifting and running.

dianeresendezDiane Resendez

Diane moved to Newbury Park after living her first 27 years in the San Fernando Valley. She married and raised 2 daughters, now 19 and 22 years of age. Diane has been in the fitness industry for over 6 years. She started her career in fitness not only to stay healthy, but to help and encourage others as well! As her children grew she was looking for something to do with her free time. She turned to teaching and it was one of the best decisions she ever made. Channeling her enthusiasm for staying fit and healthy into challenging and motivating her clients. An instructor in both Sculpting and Abs as well as Indoor Cycling she became certified in TRX instruction after falling in love with it. "I am in the best shape of my life right now, especially after starting TRX! I walk taller, have improved posture, and I am no longer plagued by recurring back issues that I've had most of my life! I hope to continue to teach as long as my body lets me!"

Debra Weldon was raised in Southern California and has lived throughout the country working with Thoroughbred horses. She has always found time to make exercise a part of her life. Debra has been teaching group fitness classes for over twenty years and has worked in all areas of the fitness industry. Of all the facets of this business she loves teaching in a group setting the most. Sharing knowledge and helping others get fit is an important part of her life. She loves outdoor activities, reading and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys indulging in decadent meals, which makes working out all that more important.
